Welcome to out Best Met Gala 2024 Outfits blog. The 2024 Met Gala theme, “The Garden of Time,” drew inspiration from J.G. Ballard’s eponymous short story and the Anna Wintour Costume Center’s exhibit, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” Hosted by Jennifer Lopez and Zendaya, the event featured guests dressing to the official dress code, celebrating with around 250 rare items from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection.
What is Met Gala

It marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit. The Gala is known for its exclusive guest list of celebrities, fashion icons, and public figures, who dress according to a specific theme that corresponds with the exhibit. The event has become one of the most prominent and high-profile social events in the world, often referred to as the “Oscars of the East Coast.”
